CE Taxi Forum: permanent meeting place for East and West
Nowhere else saw such a high concentration of taxi decision-makers from all over Europe in one place! Set up as a platform for the exchange of ideas and information between East and West, the conference will be held every two years. In between the conference continues on this website! Following the Eurocab/FMS Austrosoft users-meeting on June 1 and a special gala-evening at the Vienna Town Hall, at the First Central European Taxi Forum (CETF) on June 2, a large number of speakers from Australia, the US and various Eastern and Western European countries addressed questions about regulation, deregulation and reregulation, environmentally-friendly taxis, safety and security for taxidriver and passenger, driver-training, accessible taxis, new types of taxi- and public transport services, cooperation with public transport and different forms of card-payments.
Mercedes-Benz Austria and Cabcharge International were the main sponsors of the conference, which was also supported by Hale Electronic and Kienzle Argo Taxi International.
This international, multi-lingual conference, organised by the Vienna taxi companies 31300, 40100 and 60160 together with Challans & Faber Business Communications in Brussels, will not be a one-off event. Every two years -alternating with the European Taxi Fair in Cologne- the organisers are aiming to create a similar Taxi Forum (including a growing trade exhibition) in one of the Central-European countries, providing interpretation in at least three international languages. Between the events the website (www.cetaxiforum.eu) -English/German/French- will provide a platform for exchange of information and ideas between the countries from East and West.
And that is the main aim of this new conference: a free exchange of information and ideas between the taxi industries of Eastern and Western Europe! There is no other event which provides this platform-function at present.
If you have any questions, suggestions or ideas about the CETF, send us an email from this site, or contact Wim Faber of conference organisers Challans & Faber bvba Business Communications, Brussels, for more information. GSM: +31 625 09 25 38. Email: wim.faber@skynet.be
